Fabio Vaconcellos - PBI Tennis Director
Fabio Vasconcellos has been with PBI for 22 of its 35 years as the industry leader among tennis management companies. Fabio has directed a wide variety of hotel, resort and club tennis programs in five countries. A native of Brazil, Fabio’s outstanding junior tennis credentials earned him a full scholarship at South Carolina’s Limestone College where he decided he wanted a career in the sport he loved, which led him to PBI.
His first assignment was at the Kuala Lumpur Hllton - one of Malaysia’s leading hotels. Since then he’s created outstanding tennis programs at Little Dix Bay Resort in the British Virgin islands, in Austria at the Stanglwirt Resort, the acknowledged #1 Adult Tennis Camp in Europe, in Oman at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel and in Miami at the Doral Golf Resort.
For the past 11 years Fabio has been serving as PBI’s regional manager for the Caribbean and directing tennis in Puerto Rico. Most recently at the Isla Verde Club in San Juan and for a time at the 13 har-tru court facility of the Rio Mar Beach Resort which has been regarded as one of the top tennis resorts in North America.
In addition to bringing his over 20 years of PBI experience to the court for every lesson he teaches, Fabio is a United States Professional Tennis Association certified teaching professional. He also has the difficult-to-earn distinction of being one of the only two professionals with PBI to have been named "PBI Pro of the Year" on two separate occasions.
Jacob Hansen - Head Tennis Professional
A native of Southern California, Jacob is a tennis professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), the world's largest premier tennis management company. His most recent PBI assignment has been at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, providing instructional and social programs for an active club membership as well a guests of the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. Jacob who is 25, graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Economics. While attending school, he also enjoyed working part-time in sales and customer service positions, and was a $25,000 winner of the Humboldt County Student Business Challenge, a business plan competition for college students. However, upon graduation, he chose to pursue a career in his first passion - tennis. Jacob became a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certified instructor, and gained experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, and coaching the local high school varsity team. His latest assignment this past summer was directing the tennis program at the Lake George Club for PBI. In PBI, Jacob has found the opportunity to combine his love of teaching tennis and providing excellent customer service. In his off time, he enjoys baseball, live music, great cuisine and crossword puzzle.
Alex Millet - Tennis Professional
Alex was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, where he started playing tennis on clay court surfaces at age 5. He grew up playing with top tennis players and competed on the junior pro tour achieving a top ten ranking in Spain. He was the Junior Doubles Champion of Spain in 1992.
After three major operations on his ankle, Alex stopped competing on the tour but his love for tennis continued, especially his passion for coaching junior players.
Alex is USPTA certified and RPT international certified. He has over twenty years of tennis experience: professional and has coordinated tournaments and traveled with his junior players across Europe and the USA and worked with WTA and ATP players. He is the director of the PBI Excellence Junior Program recently organized by the Naples Grande Beach Resort.
